The State Government has recommenced the Western Australian TAB sale process to secure the long-term future of the State's racing industry. The sale process was well progressed prior to the onset of COVID-19, but was subsequently suspended due to the uncertainty caused by the pandemic.
Regional racing back on track (NSW)
The NSW Government has welcomed the return of crowds of up to 5,000 people to regional racecourses and tracks as the state strengthens its commitment to economic recovery.
Interim liquor licences approved for Crown's Barangaroo Casino (NSW)
The NSW Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority (ILGA) has today approved three interim liquor licences for Crown’s Barangaroo resort that were due to expire on 31 October 2021. ILGA chair Philip Crawford said the liquor licences had been issued on an interim basis and will expire on 30 June 2022.
Increased funding for racing industry confirmed by Tasracing Board
The Tasracing Board has agreed to increase code funding by $2.26 million, or 8 per cent.
As part of this increase, stakes will increase for the harness code by 6 per cent, 7.1 per cent for thoroughbreds and 7.7 per cent for the greyhound code.

Community organisations across the Rockhampton and Keppel region will share in almost $380,000 from the latest round of grants from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF).
Appointment of GambleAware Statewide Aboriginal Service Provider (NSW)
NSW Aboriginal Safe Gambling Services has been awarded the contract to deliver its GambleAware Statewide Aboriginal Service, commencing January 2022. The service will provide access to culturally appropriate gambling support services for aboriginal communities across the state.
Gambling Support review to guide increased funding (TAS)
One of the aims of the Tasmanian Future Gaming Market policy is to continue to minimise harm caused by gambling through reforms, including doubling the level of the Community Support Levy (CSL).
