Sustained drop in gambling frequency since pubs and clubs re-opened (FED)

A study presented at the Brain and Mind Centre Symposium 2020 shows that over six months from the early days of COVID-19 to November, gambling frequency reduced, signalling a window of opportunity post-pandemic. However, no changes were seen among those experiencing gambling problems.

State Budget keeps Queensland Racing on track (QLD)

The 2020-21 Queensland State Budget will deliver a $42 million shot in the arm for Queensland’s racing industry. Racing Minister Grace Grace said the Budget spend includes $17.6 million for country racing clubs across Queensland as part of the six year $105.6 million Country Racing Program.

Gambling Research Capacity Grants (NSW)
